We keep things simple and transparent. Every SmileBox gift includes free courier delivery anywhere in New Zealand, no hidden fees at checkout, just peace of mind.

Orders are sent via overnight courier with NZ Post and typically arrive within 1–3 business days from dispatch. Please allow an additional 1-2 business days for rural delivery.

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), with same-day dispatch for orders placed before 2pm.

Once your order is on its way, you’ll receive tracking details straight to your inbox so you can follow its journey.

Please note: parcels returned due to incorrect address details will need to be re-sent at the applicable shipping cost.

Frequently asked questions

All packages are dispatched from our warehouse in beautiful Papamoa (Bay of Plenty).

From dispatch, delivery is typically overnight but we need to allow for 1–3 business days, depending on your location. Rural delivery may take an additional 1–2 business days but in most cases, parcels arrive the next business day.

While we’d love to guarantee exact delivery dates, we rely on our trusted courier partner, NZ Post, to deliver your SmileBoxes safely and promptly across New Zealand.

You’ll always know where your SmileBox is, tracking details are emailed to you as soon as your order is shipped.

If you’re ordering for a special occasion, we recommend selecting a future “open date” at checkout. We’ll include a tag on the box asking the recipient not to open it until your chosen date.

Hospital deliveries

We do our best to send hospital deliveries quickly, however each hospital has its own process for distributing parcels to patients, so delivery times may vary depending on their internal schedules.

To help ensure a smooth delivery, please include the patient’s full name and ward number (if known).

If NZ Post haven't picked up the package, we can usually catch it and change the address ourselves before it leaves our warehouse.

If the package has already been dispatched, you can usually change the address yourself on the package NZ Post tracking page. Please see your dispatch email for the link to your package's NZ Post tracking page.

By default, no. The courier driver will leave it in a safe location (e.g. by the front door or in the letterbox) if no one is home.

The only exception is our SmileBoxes containing alochol, as the courier driver requires ID (if the recipient looks under 25) before physically handing over the package. If no one is home, a calling card will be left.

Our standard SmileBoxes (non-alcohol ones) can be sent to PO Boxes as they do not require a signature to leave them.

Our SmileBoxes containing alcohol cannot be sent to PO Boxes as they require a signature upon delivery.

We can send any boxes overseas except ones containing alcohol, seeds or gift vouchers.

Delivery to Australia is by Economy Tracked Delivery (6-12 business days from dispatch) - from $18
